Hello Amrit, thanks for sending me your article.

The equations and steps presented in the article are really straight forward.

Am looking forward to apply them to design my required pneumatic system.

If the pressure drop due to friction between the solids and

the conveying pipeline is not considered, does it affect the total pressure drop considerably?

Actually i am designing a pneumatic conveying system for textile fibre ( mainly dried wool fibre ).

If anyone has Friction factor for wool, can they please share it. Actually no laboratory equipments are available to me to carry out tests and find it..

Hi everyone! I opened this thread because I've got a copy of the article "Theory and Design of Dilute Phase Pneumatic Conveying Systems" from Mr. Agarwal, and I think it's a great because with it I can order my ideas and have an excelent guide on Pneumatic Conveying Systems: Precision and great explanations.

Now I'm trying to research about pneumatic conveying of 'wet and granular sawdust' (I can't explain in other way) and the article is a great boost on it.

Here is my query , if u take interest to hel me out

will coarse particle will require more pressure to convey than fine ash ?

i mean to highlight the problem of one of my client.ie he is not able to convey the bottom ash however is able to convey the fine ash . can u enlighten me about the problem he may be facing. During my courtsy visit to their plant i had a look on their plant hand resulted that they hve reduced the line size of compressed air line. Our system require 3bar pressuer in densephase but the pressure on receiver is 2.5 bar
