DOWNERS GROVE (IL), January 29, 2008 -- Flexco has announced the introduction of its Flex-Seal skirting system designed to fully seal the loading zone, preventing spillage leaks, controlling dust emissions and guarding against costly belt damage and mistracking.
Flex-Seal's angle plate positions the skirt rubber to the belt so the internal spring-back tension in the rubber creates the seal without damage. The low contact pressure on the belt prevents belt grooving or excessive cover wear to prolong belt life.
Available in 4-ft. (1.2 m) lengths, the versatile Flex-Seal can be used to create systems to meet specific customer needs. The economical Flex-Seal Skirting System is easy to install and maintain. Each module includes two clamp pins, two clamp plates and a clamp bar, and comes with simple step-by-step installation instructions. For maximum flexibility and safety, installation and maintenance tasks can be accomplished from the sides of the conveyor.
Conveyor operating efficiency is enhanced through reductions in material spillage, elimination of safety hazards and reduced wear and premature failure of conveyor components. Further savings can be realized through reductions in material clean-up and maintenance tasks.
