Re: Walking Floor Hoppers
Dear Joe,
Power co-generation using green waste and woodchips at sugar mills uses a system where a walking floor truck backs up to a similarly sized walking floor storage bin. The material is discharged from the truck and onto the synchronised bin floor but without actually driving on the floor. The main problem is operator safety when opening the rear doors prior to backing up.
Mikalen has a bottom side dump 40'container system that will carry the above materials and side dump the material into your walking floor bin without the need for driving on the bin floor. The trucks used for transport are standard container trucks with a hydraulic PTO. Operation is from the drivers seat so no safety issues. Please refer to our website at mikalen.com for some info, if of interest please revert to mikalen@bigpond.com and we will send some drawings of a typical installation that may suit your application.

Walking / Moving Floor Hoppers
Dear Joe
Renby Ltd are the UK agents for Spirofloor who are specialists in static and lorry mounted moving floor units, we also have other conveying systems in our range that would be useful for conveying / elevating wood waste.
If you would like to e-mail your details, I can get in touch to discuss your application / requirements

Walking floor hoppers
Does anybody have advice on walking floor hoppers. In particular, drive in hoppers where lorries could reverse over the walking floor surface to unload bulk material.
If anyone knows of such a setup or has information on the subject it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Joe ■
