Heated Screw Conveyors
I would not wish to overwhelme you with offers but www.ajax.co.uk will show that we specialise in screw type equipment and have extensive experience in jacketed screw conveyors.
In general, all direct surface heat transfer devices to loose solids tend to be limited by the difficult of heat diffusion through the bulk and the insulating characteristics of an dead layers, as may be present in the lower sections of conventioan screw conveyors. For this reason, we tend to treat each application on merit and seel to maximise the 'wiped surface' area and introduce thermal homogination by way of introducing convective mixing in transit.
We would be pleased to examine your particular requirements and put forward our recommendations.

Re: Heated Screw Conveyors
We are looking for a jacketed screw conveyor in order to move 1 mt/Hr of seed material and at the same time we would like to take the material from ambient temperature to 100 C and make sure that at the end of the process the material remains exposed at 100 C for at least 1 minute. We need a stainless steel solution given the nature of the food products we are processing.
We did evaluate the information in your web site and found it quite interesting. While we are looking for new equipment we would also consider a used/modified equipment solution.

- horizontal
- vertical
- diagonal
- screw mixers
- discharge systems (live bottoms)
- cooling screw conveyors
- heating screw conveyors
- holding time screw conveyors
On our website we do not have any information about heating screw conveyors, but you can get a first impression of our experience in the field of screw conveyors.

Stainless steel screw conveyors with steamed wall and screw
We are in the food ingredients business and require a stainless steel screw conveyor that has steamed walls and screw in order to heat the material as it is transported. Where can we get such equipment? Where can we search to seek used equipment of this type? ■
