Re: Difference Belt Speeds In One Stream
Dear Shri Rekhawar,
The different belt speeds in a series of conveyors is not uncommon. Only thing you have to see is that for each belt conveyor its belt width, troughing angle, and speed should have ability to accommodate and convey the material without spillage.

Dear Mr. Gulani,
Thanks for the clarification.

Speeds
I AGREE WITH DR MULANI.
BE CAREFULL THOUGH.
YOU HAVE TO DESIGN THE TRANSFER POINTS YO AVOID SPILLAGE AND WEAR ON THE RECEIVING BELT.
REMEMBER THAT IF YOU HAVE A DIVERTER GATE , EVEN IF YOU ARE TO SPLIT ONLY ONE PERCENT OF THE FLOW , THE INSTANT FLOW WILL BE THE SAME AS THE INCOMING STREAM. COMMON SENCE AS IT IS, WE HAVE FOUND NUMEROWS OCATIONS WHERE THE CONTINUITY LAW WAS VIOATED CREATING LARGE SPILLS.
LIKE FEEDING FROM A 750 TPH TO AN 80 TPH.
It happens in the best families.

Re: Difference Belt Speeds In One Stream
Transfer station design for: a) flow dynamics, b) acceleration of material on receiving belt, c) dust, d) belt wear increase ....
Sequential control between conveyors during stopping to eliminate plugging chute when receiving conveyor stops first. Know that the energy difference is mV^2.

Difference belt speeds in one stream
Dear all,
I have a question. Is it OK to have different belt speeds i.e. higher speed of preceding belt, in a single stream, if the carrying capacities are matching?
