I have good experience with Idlers and pulleys from the following manufactures,

1.Elecon Engineering for both Idlers and pulleys,

2.Kali Material handling system for both Idlers and pulleys

3.TRF for both idlers and pulleys,

4.Joy Engineering Calcutta for Pulleys.

For maintaining quality,the specification must be in detail and QAP should be as per BIS.

I have been to many manufacturers in India. I found the best quality control and self-inspection of all stages of manufacturing to be Kali.

I have no hesitation in recommending Kali for any project we do in India.

FMC did supply the 194 mm diameter idlers for Mundra Port which operate at 7.5 m/s that transports 6000 t/h over 7 km of 1600 mm wide belt at Adani's port. The FMC idlers were manufacturered in China to USA FMC standards and were witness tested by Adani to show they met our specificatons.

Elecon has now replicated the FMC design for Adani's Dahej 14.5 km overland with the same transport statistics as Mundra. I witnessed a proper design of this roller. However, other rollers were not to our standards.

Other manufacturers have a way to go to meet Kali or our specifications. ■
