Dear Shri Pappu,

The coal handling plant will be comprising of numerous equipment, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation.

For each of these equipment, the contract specification (between you and your buyer) must be stipulating the guaranteed parameters, as to be demonstrated during commissioning test. You have to create log book incorporating the test procedure and the parameters, in concurrence with the buyer.

Such log book will also mention duration of test, remedial measure for interruption and inadequate performance if any for concerned equipment etc.

Recently we have commissioned a 800 tph coal handling plant for a thermal power plant. in the process of handling over we need to submit performance test reports as a document.

I need the help of the forum in sharing any formats of coal handling performance test reports.

Normally aggreement has a perfomance guarantee clause.

Each element will have perfomance guarantee.

Above all an overall perfomance guarantee clause also will be provided.

A typical agreement states,

1.An Overall Perfomance at the rated out put of 800 TPH for 4 hrs ( ie 3200 tons in 4 hrs contonuous operation with out any break)

2.An overall perfomance for 72 hrs at 80% system efficiency.This may be fixed taking into consideration the working hrs permitted per day(20hrs etc)
