Due to increased business Melfi Technologies is seeking an additional Control Systems Engineer. Available immediately a full time position suitable for a recent university graduate looking to grow with a dynamic Greater Toronto Area based company.
Duties:
1. Design and implement custom control systems for various industries including foods, plastics, chemical, pharmaceutical, etc.
2. Commission, train and support control systems for customers throughout Canada and the United States.
3. Write technical documents/user manuals to accompany each control system.
4. Promote products and services to potential customers.
5. Regular travel within North America and occasional travel overseas is required.
Qualifications: The controls system engineer job candidate must possess an electrical engineering degree (B.A.Sc.). Must have basic knowledge of PLC’s and human machine interface hardware and software packages. Experience with computer database management, networking and visual basic are a necessity. A thorough understanding of electrical principles, drive control systems, feedback loops and the ability to interpret electrical schematics are a must. The candidate must also possess analytical skills and be self-motivated, as they will be expected to work independently. Excellent communication and written skills are essential.
