Re: Revit For Materials Handling 3d Modeling
AutoCad Revit is an architectural based package and I would not recommend it for material handling projects. If you want an AutoCad package you would be much better off with AutoCad Inventor.
My personal preference is SolidWorks Premium. SolidWorks also has an Associate Add-On called The Steel Detailer.
Here is a snip-it of a transfer design done in SolidWorks.

Revit For Materials Handling 3d Modeling
We have been using the Autodesk package that includes Autocad, Inventor for solid modelling, and Robot for matrix method and finite element analysis. We have been using Robot for structural auditing of existing conveyor and transfer structures that are being modified and ugraded. This has worked very well for us so far.

REVIT for Materials Handling 3d Modeling
Hello,
Just wondering if any one is successfully using Autodesk REVIT for Materials Handling project?
Typically interested in transfer stations and associated steel work.
We are evaluating other options but would like some experienced opinions on this particular software.
Regards
