Ash Handling System Verification
Hello Everybody,
First of all sorry about my english (I speak spanish).
I work in a thermoelectrical power plant and we are installing a new vacuum ash handling system for the fly ash, I need to check the design for the propper selection of the pipe diameter, route, pressure drop and conveying capacity of the system but I can't find any information about how to do it.
I would precciate if anyone can send me the article "Theory and Design of dilute Phase Pneumatic conveying Systems" or give me any information of how to get it because i think it will help me a lot with my task.
Thank's for your time ■
Article Copy Request
Hello Mr. Amrit Agarwal
I'll be very glad if you can send me a copy of the article "Theory and Design of Dilute Phase Pneumatic Conveying Systems" or any other calculation method description that I can apply to an Ash handling system vacuum conveying pipeline in a power plant (the conveying capacity must be between 10 and 16 TPH).
Thanks a lot for your help, I really need this information as soon as possible,

I Want To Thank You Time After Time For The Article
Dear Mr Amrit Agarwal
I want to thank you time after time for replying me and for sending me the article "Theory and Design of Pneumatic Conveying Systems."
I read it three times, It's the best calculation method I found it until now, simple, clear, suitable for the professionals and the beginners,
You can develop it to be a commercial software calculator .
I look forward reading your other articles on pneumatic conveying and dust collection.
I need your help about "Froude Number" any equations, and what's the maximum and minimum for dilute pneumatic conveying systems it use the Centrifugal Fans 30-50in WG in suction type, and I need something such as chart clearing the Friction multipler constant regarding to bran, flour, wheat, and many another materials.

I Need More About The Friction Multiplier (K)
Dear Mr Amrit Agarwal
thank you again for the article, It's very useful to me,
I have a mistakes in Fanning Friction factor calculating, my be I did mistakes in my calculating or the there is something not correct in the equation , After I solved this problem by using an equations I had before , the results does not match the Fanning Friction factor (0.00592) you've been mentioned in the article
my result :
For Reynold's number (NRe)= 1.33E+5
For fanning friction factor ƒ= 0.0233
Please Mr Amrit help me in this matter,
I need more about the Friction Multiplier (K), any chart , engineering tables declaring the value of (K) for each material , specially , flour , bran, whole wheat, or similar materials.
In the end I want to thank you for your kindness and for the help and for the wonderful article .
thank you very much.
Your faithful student Muhsen shikh trab.

Pneumatic Conveying Calculations Article
To All:
I posted a request to Amrit Agarwal for a copy of the dilute phase pneumatic conveying paper and he was able to respond to my request in a very timely manner.
I have read through the paper a couple of times and find that the information included is very helpful for me.
I would like to know if anyone knows of a similar paper that discusses the calculation of the velocities of the gas and particles within the system.
Thank you,
Ryan ■
