Have you identified risks from static electricity?

If you have then Newson Gale Ltd has the solution to your problem. A self-testing earthing clamp specifically designed to protect against static electricity building-up on drums, IBCs, mobile plant or portable equipment.

The Bond-Rite clamp creates and continuously monitors a low-resistance connection to earth and displays this healthy condition through a flashing LED indicator on the handle of the clamp.

In many earthing applications an insulating layer such as paint, resins or adhesives can prevent potentially hazardous charges from safely dissipating to earth. The Bond-Rite is designed to overcome this problem; a strong clamping mechanism combined with tungsten carbide teeth ensures that the clamp bites through the heaviest build-ups.

Once the connection has been made the green LED housed on the top of the clamp will start to flash. This indicates that a connection to earth of less than 10 ohms has been achieved. In addition the Bond Rite also checks the integrity of the cable back to the earthing point or bus bar.

The standard Bond-Rite is supplied with chemically resistant Cen-Stat cable. This is specified to provide very low electrical resistance with lightweight and maximum mechanical strength. Self-retracting reel options are also available if preferred.

The Bond-Rite clamp is manufactured in stainless steel and houses the long life lithium battery. In addition it has high ingress protection (IP65) and is suitable for use in ATEX Zone 0 / 20 hazardous areas containing gases, vapours and dusts.

The Bond-Rite clamp is just part of the Cenelectrex® range of static earthing and bonding equipment available from Newson Gale Ltd.
