Cleveland Vibrator Adds Fine Screeners with Purchase of HK Technologies, Inc.
Cleveland, OH….With the acquisition of HK Technologies, Inc., of Salem, Ohio, Cleveland Vibrator expands its line of equipment to include fine powder screening.
HK Technologies is a manufacturer of vibratory and ultrasonic screening equipment for laboratory, pilot and production applications. Their wide range of unique equipment design and expertise in fine mesh screening allows for solutions for virtually all screening requirement. Applications for these screeners in ceramics, food, pharmaceuticals, powder metals, powder paints, diamond powders, ceramic powders and solder powders.
HK screeners come in a variety of sizes with screen diameters ranging from 8 to 36 inches, one deck to multiple decks. With the addition of ultrasonics, HK can build a screening vibratory system that significantly reduces or eliminates screen blinding in many powder applications. Unlike other ultrasonic deblinding systems, the HK Ultrasonic Transformer transmits the ultrasonic vibration through the product hopper to the tensioned screen surface. This unique transducer coupling allows for 100% utilization of the screen surface thus allowing for maximum product throughput and eliminating screen tearing. Since the transducer is not directly attached to the screen surface, screens last longer.
Cleveland Vibrator’s latest innovation, the HyBrute, is a blending of HK’s ultrasonics and rotary electric drives. The result is a high-capacity, fine powdered-materials screener. The HyBrute Screener incorporates the low maintenance, high volume material flow rates of a “brute force” vibratory feeder and the high precision characteristics of an ultrasonic screener. The resulting “hybrid” screener brings together the best of both types of vibratory units: low maintenance, large capacity, and precision screening for fine materials.
HK also offers a conversion screener which converts existing screeners allowing for lower costs over purchasing a new unit. It can be adapted to accept ultrasonics in minutes to screen down to 20 micron. It features Rescreenable frames furthering lower cost of maintenance.
