Solex energy efficient technology selected for a total of 7 fertilizer projects in the past 12 months
Solex Thermal Science Inc.9542 solex thermal science.htm has been selected to provide a 50-ton per hour urea cooler and water temperature control module to Dakota Gasification Company (DGC) for use in their Great Plains Synfuels Plant in North Dakota. This win brings the number of fertilizer projects that Solex has been awarded in the past 12 months to 7, all of which will be shipped in 2015.

These benefits stem from Solex’s proprietary indirect plate heat exchange technology that cools the urea as it moves slowly through the unit. Unlike more traditional methods, air is not used to directly cool the fertilizer resulting in a more energy efficient process. This also eliminates the need for unnecessary air handling equipment and the associated air emissions from the plant.
