Dear ir,

for whatpurpose you need the magnetic thing it will help you in going for the right option.

i'll use it for limestone crushing system ..

after the jaw crusher and before the impact crusher

It will depend on what kind of metal pieces you are expecting. If they are mining equipment pieces like shovel/loader tooth, then they are mostly alloys which are very difficult to be attracted by a magnet. If they are relatively large metal plates then you can use a magnetic detector as it will be difficult to lift them from a under a deep bed of material. If the pieces are smaller then a magnetic separator will suffice. Better still a metal detector can be used which can work in all three cases if you can do with frequent stopping of conveyor as it will be then tripped even in the presence of small nuts and bolts (The circuit should have a storage buffer after the impactor to minimise inconsistancy in feed downstream) .

depends on the amount of iron,if very little and the belt stops are not a problem, the metal detector.

Less cost.

Otherwise the magnet, can be manual or automatic cleaning.

What is the belt width?

Dear Mr. MaZaGAngeE,

With reference to bulk material handling system, generally one comes across commercially known names as metal detector and magnetic separator but not magnetic detector and magnetic separator.

Ferrous or few other metals which can be magnetised are directly removed by magnetic separator. Such magnetic separator works continuously at steady magnetisation or it can also have detection and at that point of time the intensity of magnetization is also enhanced, which results into economical magnetic separator, on consideration of thermal rating. But if the magnetic or metal pieces come successively then they might damage the magnetic separator, etc.

In case of non-magnetic metals, these can be only detected but cannot be separated automatically by extraction force. In such case the metal detector senses (detects) metal and it generally switches off the conveyor, with marker on its location on the belt. The conveyor stops and then the metal is removed manually. The stoppage of conveyor also stops the down side feeding system.

The complicated method is also possible to remove the metal along with the surrounding portion of material, but it is rarely used.
