Screw Feeder Sealing

Posted on 22. Dec. 2008 - 07:00

MECO Shaft Seals - http://www.mecoseal.com - are used on a large number of screw feeders and conveyors. They tolerate large shaft runouts, and can be installed underneath four-bolt flange bearings in the same space as a standard waste-pack housing.

They are also available in smaller profiles, to fit screw feeders by a number of different manufacturers.

We'd be happy to speak with you about a specific solution for your sealing problem.

not a big problem ,

Make it yourself.

you can use a commercialy available mechanical seal.

or a simple stuffing box with backup redundant o rings , you might want to inject clean air or gas into the middle of the stuffing box. and oil between the "o" rings

do not over tighten the gland .
