Dear All,

I come in to a puzzle about conveyor belt cover rubber standard RMA-1?

Who knows the specific technical data for RMA-1 standard:

The tensile strength?

The elongation?

The hardness?

Abrasion?

Your kind comments will highly appreciated!

Best regards,

Yung

Grade I

min tensile strength: 2500psi- 17Mpa

min. elongationat break: 400%

when tested in accordance with ASTM D378,

min. adhesion between plies: 25lb.s/in (4 KN/m)

min. adhesion between cover & ply: 1/32"(0.8mm) to 1/16"(1.6mm) = 16lb.s/in(3 KN/m)

covers greater than 1/16"(1.6mm) = 25lb.s/in(4.4KN/m)

see also ASTM D-378-91 & ASTM D-412-92

RMA Grade I -"Will consist of natural or synthetic rubber or blends which will be characterized by high cut, gouge, and tear resistance and very good to excellent abrasion resistance. These covers are recommended for service involving sharp and abrasive materials, and for severe impact loading conditions." - RMA Rubber Manufacturers Association RMA/IP-1-1, Flat Belt Technical Bulletin
