You have not specified the loading technique which leaves you wide open to simply loading the clips onto a round link chain loop which will give better exposure to the oil than the tray/slats.
Then all you have to do is work out a chain speed to give the required immersion time. ■

i want to design a ratchet and pawl mechanism to give intermittent motion to a wheel carrying a load of 400 kg uniformly distributed over it.It should index at an angle of 15 deg for every oscillation of the pawl. can any one guide me with the detailed procedure of designing the ratchet wheel and its pawl. can it be designmed based on the tooth load treating each teeth on the ratchet wheel as cantilever beam as gears are designed? ■

i am intrested in designing a conveyor for handling rail clips i want to design a slate conveyor. it should be inclined at 30 degree. 5 clips should be placed in one slate. each weghis half kg max width 6cms max length 6cms max height 4cms .every 10 secs one component is loaded. it should be in the oil for half hour.drive end can be outside the tank while all other parts inside the oil. can you please help me with clearly stated design procedure. ■
