Dust suppression at conveyor transfer points

Posted in: , on 2. Dec. 2017 - 13:45

Suppression of dust at transfer points has always been a concern, from the safety, housekeeping and maintenance points of view.

There are excellent suppression and extraction systems on the market but generally these fail due to lack of proper care and maintenance.

Applying the cause and effect principle to dust is rarely considered; the focus being on suppressing the dust, rather than dust prevention.

A transfer chute can be designed to prevent or greatly minimise dust generation. The rule in such designs is as always horses for courses and not one size fits all.

Engicon specialises in correcting non-performing plants and low cost de-bottlenecking of systems.
