The company STORK GmbH is a medium sized business with their headquarters in Magdeburg. At their formation in the year 1994 by Bernd Stork the company engaged 3 employees. The main focus of their operations was at this time in the field of special waste disposal and industry treatment.
Today the company engages over 100 employees in the industrial and administrative sector and has acquired an excellent reputation in Middle Germany with its experience, professional competence and service.

In addition to the disposal of special waste, former waste deposits and the clean-up of groundwater, STORK also provides the handling of waste from different fields in own reprocessing plants.
Since the building of the first plant in the year 2003, STORK use RULMECA motorized pulleys for their conveyor drives. Since then, the company has in their different plants, more than 60 conveyor belts each driven with a RULMECA motorized pulley.
Pulleys with a diameter of 220 or 320 mm and with powers up to 7,5 kW are mainly used.
The conveyor drives in these plants work in extremely difficult conditions. It is very dusty and the mix of ash and water react to an alkaline, which needs a special technical standard for the drives; RULMECA designed the connecting pins for insertion into the drive of the conveyor and included re-lubricating labyrinth seals made in stainless steel. “The pulleys are approved and work very well with this new technical standard.” explained Ingolf Wulkow, STORK production manager. “Through the standardization of the drives and the application of standard sizes, we have a fast alternate in case of changing.”
Furthermore Ingolf Wulkow says; “We have high regard for the good consultation and the service by the RULMECA field staff.”
STORK are continuously developing. Currently they have a new plant at the harbour of Magdeburg in building for the preparation of harbour mud. Here also RULMECA motorized pulleys will be used.
