Lommel (Belgium), 27 May 2004. – The Hansen M4 is Hansen Transmissions’ latest range of industrial gear units. It has been developed using the very latest design techniques and is being produced with the help of the most advanced manufacturing technologies.

With this gear unit, available in 14 sizes, Hansen Transmissions is bringing the market a truly functional solution. Hansen P4 technology provides the model for the Hansen M4 gear unit. The components are housed in a robust monobloc housing. The Hansen M4 is a gear unit that can be customised for a wide range of applications from standard option menus. In order to make selection as simple as possible, the Hansen M4 gear unit is offered with various option menus – for example a basic menu for buying an ordinary gear unit, one for gear units with a motor mounting and another for ones with a motor drive pinion. The last two at the same time form the basis of complete drive units. With the options from the chosen menu, no specific drawing work is now required. For customers ordering large quantities or placing regular repeat orders, custom modifications can be worked out.

The official launch has been preceded by a period of exhaustive laboratory and field tests. In addition Hansen’s standardised production processes to ISO 9001 and the use of bearings from reputable suppliers guarantee the high-performance characteristics and high quality standards of the Hansen M4 gear unit.
