Abrasive resistant crimp

We use abrasive fluid to cut holes in pipe. Our hose is and nozzle do not present many problems, however our crimps do.

We use d2 steel hardened to around 50 rockwell. We only get around twenty minutes of run time per crimp before it blows. Is there a better material out there that can handle the abrasives and be soft enough to form a crimp around the hose. I am looking for any help or ideas.

Thanks Brad

Have you tried coating the crimps with Polyurethane.
