Roller Screen Problem

Dear friends,

we have a roller screen for feeding HPGR with below specification:

1- bulk material: iron ore concentrate with 8-10% humidity

2- gap between rollers= 18mm

3- material flow=max. 700 t/h

4- total area of screen(widthxlength)=1.2mx4m

5- inclination: 15 degree

6-more than 95% of material size below 18mm

problem:

whenever moisture content on concentrate increase more than 9%, the capacity fall down to 450t/h

would you please inform me:

is there any references for designing roller screen?

which parameters effect on roller screen capacity?inclination?width?length?speed?

we would like to increase the capacity of available system. which parameter you suggest for modification? increasing total length of screen(by increasing QTY of rollers) is better or increasing width(by increasing length of each roller)?

thanks in advance

Roller Screen Width Or Length

is it true that

1- increasing width of the screen increase capacity?

2- increasing length of the screen increase accuracy?

It is true that as a general rule that the width of a screen largely effects capacity (a wider screen allows more t/h for the same bed depth) - and the length of a screen largely effects efficiency (a longer time on screen and more opportunities for the undersize to pass thru).

However if the problem is due to moist sticky material adhering to the rolls, this can sometimes be best addressed by adjustable scrapers which clean the bottom of the rolls (for extreme cases the scrapers can be heated).

Also various shaped discs can be fitted to the rolls for different sorts of applications, so ensure the best shape is fitted for your conditions.

Talk to the screen manufacturer about your difficulties. All reputable manufacturers should be well acquainted with this sort of problem, and want to see their gear working properly.

Roller Screen Capacity

we have used roller screen scraper and it made the situation more better, but it seems it can not handel the requested capacity with this moisture.

would you please explain about various shaped disc?

we use the roller screen only to avoid feeding large lumps to the crusher which temproary happens.

thanks in advance
