Hi, The members

I am designing a dry concrete production plant and have difficulty in finding a dry concrete packing machine. The coarse aggregate size is 18mm-5mm and fine aggregate size is 6mm-3mm. What kind of packing machine can be used in the application. If the sack is valve or open-mouthed, is there any difference in packing machine?

My email address is as below: dchen@drymortar.cn

Thanks

Daniel

Bagging Machineries

First off when you say dry concrete bagging machinery you accidentally give the impression you are bagging chunks of concrete.

the open mouth sacking systems are the best in my opinion but maintenence can ot be overlooked!!!!

There are plenty of bagging machnery manufacturers worldwide.

Two companies that use valve pack bags are "Sakcrete" and "Quickcrete"

it all depends on your moisture content at packing time as this will have an effect on everything. the drier it is the better for bagging any material.

Triple wall paper bags with a plastic moisture barrier are your only real route for your product as they alone will survive handling and bagging.

sewn bags are better in some ways and valve pack bags are better in other ways.

Valve pack bagging systems are great with zero moisture but you need huge amounts of compressed air. Where with sewn bags you do not need that much for blowing away cotton fibers from bag sewing lines and powering bag clamps for filling.

The sewn bags are better in my opinion as you have to think about the end user and how much work is needed to open the bags. Its easier to remove material from a sewn bag than a vavle back bag when it is sewn properly with the right strength

of cotton fiber thread with a double stitch sewing unit you will have a great unit for packaging and

for sales as it is a stronger bag-the bottom of the bag is already sealed and you need to match the strenth of the bottom ogf the bag-hence the double stitching a little more thread will make all the difference in packaging and product handling especially with manual labor involved for loading and unloading product. People will tire and bags will slip and drop unintensionally.

The heavier the product the more robust bag is needed.

The less complicated the better. You have to remember that-especially in a high moisture environment such as a cement bagging plant so you should use sewn bags due to the overall system simplicity from beginning to end.

Unless you can guArantee absolute moisture reduction from steam sterilzation of product and dry storage at all times by guaranteeing the bagging bins are emptied everynight you will have nothing but trouble with the valve packing/bagging units due to the static electricity buildup and their inherent moisture traps in the valves which will cake up and have a detrimental effect on bag weight and filling times from plugging -additional weight/overs rather than stated weight on bags etc.

The high moisture in valve pack systems is due to the huge amounts of compressed air used to move product with air blasts to fill 25, 50. 80 or 100 pound bags.

Hi Daniel,

I am looking for someone who can help me set-up a dry concrete bagging facility overseas. After reading your post, I was hoping may be you can help me. Your response is appreciated.

Thanks,

Gentleman, For packing your product the best machine shall be net weigher system, this shall have a hopper above , which shall be fed by bucket elevator of by other method. The cpacities of such type of machines are around 15 tph (mechanically),if you want to have more capacity then this output can be increase. For such type of machines open type bags are required. When the bag will get weighed ,the same will be conveyed by slat conveyor where stitching machine will do the job and then the bag either will be send for storage or directly to automatic truck loading machine. The undersigned has worked for world's renowned co.in this field M/s Haver and Boecker's agent in India where I have designed more then 50 systems of such type.If you wish,I can design the entire system from feeding to despatch including costing and vendor selection.
