HAZIRA DEEP WATER PORT IN INDIA
We are the largest fully integrated manufacturer of high quality flat steel products (HRC) in the western region of India, with a production capacity of 2.4 Million metric tonnes per annum and located at Hazira, India.
We are also enhancing our production capacity from 2.4 to 3.0 Million metric tonnes in near future.
To cater to the need of raw materials to our HBI & HRC Unit and for export we intend to develop berthing facilities for unloading capesize vessels,
about 5 Kms. distance from our plant.
Our tentative handling for cargo movements per annum would be as under :-
A) Inward
Bulk cargo: 8.0 MnT (Lump ore, Limestone, coal )
Scrap: 0.5 MnT
B) Outward
HRC: 1.5 MnT

Total 10.0 MnT

We would be constructing 2 berths at port to accommodate
the following shipments / sizes.
A. For Bulk Cargo.
Ship size: 180,000 DWT
Length: 300 m
Breadth: 50 m
Draft: 16 m
Cargo proposed to be handled:-
Lump Ores, Pellets, Coal, Lime stone
B.For Unit and General Cargo
Ship size: 75,000 DWT
Lengt: 225 m
Breadth: 37 m
Draft : 13.5 m.
Cargo proposed to be handled:-
HRC, Sheet Packs, Slabs & Scrap.
We wish to invite vendors who can supply / lease wharf cranes to be located on Berths to discharge cargo at a rate so that the entire cargo is discharged within 4 days as per the modern port norms.
