We are looking at the possibility of replacing a belt conveyor tripper car.

It's carrying hard rock , 2300 tph.

The tripper is slung from the peak of an a-frame storage building.

The tricky bit would involve not shutting down production for more then a couple days.

We are located in Western Canada.

Can anyone recommend a firm who would be interested/capable of such a task?

Flashman,

Your schedule presents a welcome departure from the norm.

If you have enough take up (you should have if your GTU runs against the back wall of the shed) you can mount the new tripper drums upstream; to lift the running belt so that you have workspace to build the new tripper ramp on the flat. Tracks are assumed to stay so you can build the carriage as well without stopping the belt.

Stop the belt & as you dismantle the old machine you will develop extra belt to accommodate the new tripper whose construction involves bolting the ramp into its raised position & transferring the drums & idlers across.

If you get some local firm to detail the procedure they might manage the swapover in 2 days. Working at height is your problem & you would especially have to check if the walkways could accommodate the set down loads.

Please provide more details on the design criteria and proposed dimensional configuration to the below respondent. A photo or drawing of the existing system would be helpful.

1. Does the tripper need to have a chute that bifurcates the lproduct to either side? If so, is thereneed of a seal belt?

2. Is the tripper movable and if so for what distance?

3. If movable, is the tripper self powered with a festoon or reel cable?

4. What is the belt rating and construction

5. What is the temperature range

6.
