New Shiploader Inquiry

Posted in: , on 10. Sep. 2010 - 10:51

Hi there

We are looking at aquiring a new bulk ship loader at the Dry Bulk Terminal (multipurpose bulk terminal) at the Port of Richards Bay. We want to know what is out there in the market that is working, and value for money. Basic requirements as follow:

2 500 ton/hour with a density of 1,9ton/m3.

Width of feeding belts 1 350mm

Feeding belt speeds are 2m/sec and 3,3m/sec

All the export products density from 0,5 – 3 ton/m3.

Loading vessels up to Cape size

Inner and outer booms have to be enclosed

Dust Free Loading chute to be accommodated

It would be appreciated if we could receive links, brochures, and comments on equipment we should consider or not consider.

Loaders we are currently using are IMG Man, Krupp, and Caillard for general bulk exports. We have a Man Takraf, but have not shipped much with this loader. Then we have two Elmec's for our woodchip exports. The new loader will be utilized to ship general bulk products.

My e-mail address is as follow: Pieter.Rheeders@transnet.net
