Dear All.

We are planning to handle coal of 1.4 MTPA. to handle coal we are planniing for a offshore jetty (1000 m from shore line) to handle coal. As per the calculations a handling rate of 1000 TPH will be sufficient to handle a vessel of 40000 DWT

Will handling coal with gantry grab girder will be economical?

An option of Mobile harbor crane seems to be feasible. pls suggest!!

Any other alternative.. pls suggest.

Also pls specify the handling rate of unloading equipment practically achieved by ship unloaders ?
