Heath & Sherwood has developed a novel on-line system for determining % M content of materials similar to Cu Concentrate (Slag) at the Horne Smelter in Canada. The new system has solved many of the limitations apparent with other techniques such as colour, temperature, material bed depth and conductive characteristics of the material. The material , at the Horne, is in the range of 7 to 10 %, at a particle size of approximately 75 % - 325 Mesh. The material is conveyed on a filter discharge belt at 20 to 60 t/hr. I don´t know why this old message appeared just now , however our interest on moisture measurement is still alive.
Our case is moisture measurement on pelletized material , surface material on the pellet being merely lead concentrate, from 4 to 8% moisture.
Pellet size is from 6 to 9 mm .
Do you consider your technique could be aplied to our case?

Indutech is the producer of Microwave moisture meters. However, this technology can be applied to materials with a low electrical conductivity only.
Do you know the conductivity of your material?
