Underground Coal Conveyors

Posted in: , on 23. Jun. 2010 - 04:29

Hello,

I've recently moved into a role in the conveyor section in an underground coal mine. And since I know relatively very little about conveyor design I was hoping someone could suggest some text books or publications that cover this area.

Please keep in mind I'm Elec Eng so I would be looking for something that explains the mechanical aspects well.

Cheers.

Rhys.

There is a wealth of material from all sorts of places

and numerous texts from educators as well as our

home page advertisers.

www.cema.org is a very good source and we have

a lot of sources on the home page.

Cema is a clearing house for publications and the

members manufacture conveyors and other machinery.

The debate continues to rage about the longest flights of

belts world wide and the manufacturers are numerous and

have a world wide presence including Joy Global,

Krupp Robins, RAHCO, FL Smidth, Long Airdox..............
