I am a college student, I have a project to design a cleaning system for a biomass gasifier.

I am considering using one or more dust collection equipment such as bag house filter, cyclone separator, ventury scrubber, and electronic precipitator.

I am having some difficulties collecting some theory about ventury scrubber equation and bag house filter.

I have read about the Johnstone method for ventury scrubber but when i search the internet (google), I couldn't find anything.

Concerning the baghouse filter, I also read about the sylvan chart to calculate the filter efficiency, but where are the numbers coming from? experiment? prediction?

I am sorry for my bad english, it's not my native language. It would be really helpful if anyone can give me a hint or clue of my problem.
