Re: Vulcanizing Equipment
Doug,
We do alot of vulcanising and use either Shaw Almex or Wagener equipment.
I am based in the UK but Fenner Dunlop has splicing concerns all over the world.
Where in the world are you?
Cheers

Re: Vulcanizing Equipment
Hi Doug
I recommend you get in contact with Edgar Jakob. He is in Germany and already supplied such equipments to vulcanizing companies and to RWE for their coal extraction in Germany.
cheers

Vulcanizing Of Heat Resistant Belts
Dear Edgor,
I can help in Hot vulcnizing of Heat resistant belts in India. In hot vulcanizing of HR belts most important is raw material for hot vulcanizing. You should ask belt suplier to give raw material for splicing. AS in HR belts temp. resistance is important and Top cover will be of EPDM. Hence all compounds used should be the same and not of any other polymer.
You can use any Hydraulic press, for vulcanizing. Preferably in one seting. You will have to vulcanize at high temp. for longer time of cure. I have many presses and trained staff to do belt jointing of any type. I am using Clean Cat make Indian Hydraulic Vul. presses.
If you need any help in doing this job. Let me know.
Regards,
Dhond ■

Vulcanizing Equipment
In a recent thread by Sumaidh Choudhary " Heat resistant belts" Edgar Jacob referred to ; "By the way, if you want to make a hot splice I recommend to use a Waterbag-Vulcanizing Press. It's the best solution to be sure the the surface pressure will be uniform, even if the traverses are bending and if you have big tolerance of thicknes in the splice area. Further I recommend to use a modern Vulcanizing Press which is capable to check and to print all process data (surface pressure; temperature).
Is anyone able to advise more information ie supplier, manufacturer, specification, capacity,
Comments on desirability would also be appreciated
