Alternate to drop test for weigh scales calibration

Dear all,

For best calibration of weigh scales installed in belt conveyor, I heard that only drop test is recommended . I find that this method is a time consuming, laborious and demands more manpower.

Is there any simpler method ? Though standard weight and chain methods are alternates, is their accuracy not better compared to drop test ?
