3 problems !!!

Hi to all dear friends

Imagine you have a car dumper ( wagon tipplers ) in your site and according to your company policy you must unloading all type iron ore bulk material , sizes up to 40mm , pellets , and also iron concentrate with high moisture !!!! maybe in 24 hours must unloaded all of them !

So you have 3 hard problems :

1.normal abrasion

2.high impact abrasion

3. and ….material sticking on hoppers walls and cutting flow or mixing material

Now what is your solution to find best wear liners to covered both of 3 problems

In Case Of Rotary Wagon Tippler

Hello,

In case of rotary wagon tippler the material discharge from wagons will have at least 2 m of free fall with respect to hopper inlet (if not, it can be provided in arrangement if need be).

In case of side discharge wagon tippler, the material discharge from wagon will have around 3 to 4 m free fall, with respect to hopper inlet.

The material free fall from aforesaid heights will result into velocity of 22.5 kmph and 27.6 kmph at hopper mouth.

The 55 tonne material falling / impacting with such velocity will sweep away any residue of material in hopper corners/valleys. So, even material like iron ore concentrate cannot accumulate and grow into blockage. At every tip the material in hopper gets renewed. You can opt for hopper valley angle say 55 degree (hopper side walls angle could be around 65 degree to horizontal). This will be adequate to move / sweep away even sluggish material like iron ore concentrate falling under gravity force.

To minimise the liner wear while handling pellets or iron ore, set the feeder discharge rate in tune with unloading rate, such that material is partially present in hopper/s most of the time. This will reduce the material flow velocity in hopper and thereby more life for the liners.

As for the liners type suitable for iron ore, you can take advice from liner manufacturers and choose the liner for compromise between price and replacement interval. Then one has to accept the expense for the liner wear and plant operation.
