Chute Jamming Switch
rekhawar
We use a "Rat Tail" or "Cat Wisker" switch from Allen Bradley. It is a limit switch which uses a rod about 1/8" in diameter and about 8" long.
When the rod is moved off center the switch is activated. We typically mount it in the side of the chute away from the product stream. When the chute plugs the switch is activated.
This has working very well for us.

Chute Jamming Switch
Sir, can you tell me th model & make of fan mounted chute jam switch?
Best Regards,
What types of chute jamming switches is being used by you in your M/H system?
The one, with a small fan mounted inside the chute, is not robust. Even a small amount of material stuck to it gives falls alarm and tripping the conveying route.
Which type of chute jamming switch is more reliable?
Regards
