I have a problem in determining the diameter and height of a storage bin for granular urea. Actually, I don't know the restrictions for the height of bin and the effects of excessive height on the lower levels of urea, Can anyone help me in this issue?
I want to size a 615 cubic meter storage bin for granular urea with density about 720 kg/m^3 . My client intends to keep the overall height of bin below 8 meters. This height makes the diameter of bin over 11 m. Is it rational ? Is there any standard or well known specification document about the restrictions of storing bulk materials specifically petrochemical products like granular urea?
