The silo size you are thinking about is a vary large size. you should contact a civil and mechanical engineer for this rather than asking how one should design it due to the inherent problems with coal of any type. ■

A stacking tube is not like a silo. Its a concrete hollow tube with windows in alternating directions. When it is filled with material the material flows out through the windows and makes a huge tall stockpile around the tube. There is a reclain tunnel below the tube into which the material is pushed using a showel.

Coal stacking tube
I want to make a stacking tube for storing 10000MT of coal and then a reclaim tunnel under the tube for removal of coal.
How should i design it and what are the points i should keep in mind while designing the stacking tube.
