16 Mesh Screening
Hello, thankyou for the question:
1. You are now 97% efficient, with 2-3% impurities
2. Normal screening efficiency rates are 95% efficiency which is considered efficient screening.
3. 5% moisture is considered DRY actually by VSMA rules or screening terminology (actually up to 6% is considered DRY)
......................
Main problems, TOUGH SCREENING due to very clean now, some moisture content which of course contributes to blinding, non free flowing
......................
I would do a test on a small two bearing circle throw unit making a plus minus 16 mesh cut. T304 stainless steel wirecloth, square mesh first, very fine wire diameter to TEST removing the overs.
SPEED, and stroke MUST be absolutely right here.
..........................
TONNAGE is not big, but TINY percent of overs is the HARD PART. Must try to get the bed depth of material to NO deeper than 3 times the 16 mesh opening to achieve any efficiency.
.............................
Could try a test with a special non plugging WIRECLOTH like a FLEXMAT tradename wirecloth by MAJOR wire.
IF this does not work, you could test on a NON BLINDING screening device with a moving polyurethane deck which vibrates at very high G FORCE and resists PLUGGING or BLINDING.
Cheers. ■

Dear George Baker,
Thank you very much for your reply,
At this moment we are using 10 mesh gyrosieve screen ( through put) with 2 vibrator motor. We have a lot problem with this type of machine for example: chocking, screening blinded, over flowing and some time there are some explosion due to accumulated fine charcoal. Our production requirement for screening machine is must be 16 mesh or below ( production spec) for fine charcoal before enter into the furnace.
I hope you can test for me and propose the suitable screening machine for our application. If you need some other infomation please let me know.
Thank you. ■
Explosion? Bad
This is caused by the very fine particles, being exposed to mechanical spark or ignition.
This is quite common in the GRAIN handling industry. They use special equipment for fine screening and very strong rules for type of mechanical devices and complete resistance to explosion.
Not truly my comfort level, maybe someone from the GRAIN handling industry or similar could add some expert advise here. ■
Re: Saw Dust Charcoal Screening Machine
Try BM&M in Canada. Their screeners are very common in the American wood industry. ■
Re: Saw Dust Charcoal Screening Machine
You could try Dalal Boulten screens manufactured in India or Pennwalt Screens or Rotex Sizers for this fine application. For declogging the mesh these can have ball decks below the screen decks.

Re: Saw Dust Charcoal Screening Machine
Dear Subba,
Thank for your reply,..
Could you please give me the detail of the proposed company?..
For your info. I have already tried the dancing ball and found that it can't help. Blinding still happened and disturb the process.
Thanks. ■
