Practical method for sampling bulk shipments

I urgently require a practical method for manual sampling from conveyors loading minus 100mm limestone with 10% moisture to 55,000 DWT ships at 1200 tph.

Is there a standard practice for Overseas Merchandise Inspection companies to use that would apply for this product?

Any information such as how many kgs per 1000 t or per hr, split down and sub-sampled to what size, how many moisture tests per shipload, what size final sample etc etc?

With thanks

It is very easily done with a sample splitter and scoop taking samples off the belt at various times during loading and then mixing and splitting the total to what ever desired final amount is desired for testing or taking the sample continously and testing during loading-all depends on how sample material and much work you want to create to provide a representative sample-just remember it is not perfect unless you sample every hour and test every hour.
