Sludge The Stuff Of Drying Beds
well you obviously no enough about primary and(tertiary) secondary treatment to get into trouble.
Its all easily found on the EPA web site or from companies that build treatment plants.
paper pulp waste is a different animal with dyes and bleaching compounds and requires more treatment withing specific guidelines easily located elseware.
There are really no advance oxidation techniques-
aerobic digestion with air injected in the material to be treated
with either settling basins on sand or a vacuum drum filter for sludge removal
which still requires the treatment of the waste water for recirculation or discharge.
-by which more oxygen is injected into the waste water to eventually make it easy to treat and dispose of.
anearobic digestion with bacteria creating methane as a bi-product
1. oxidation ditch
2. Rotating Biological Contactors being the drum or disc type this probably what they are referring to.
The waste water generated has to be treated a certain way period to make it safe to discharge and bury paper sludges in a regulated land fill. ■
Re: Waste Water Treatment
If you want to learn about waste water treatment in general and the different technologies involves the annual waste water show WEFTEC is a great resource. Here is the link to the organization. http://www.weftec.org/
