IT IS TRUE THAT PU SCREEN DECKS CANNOT BE REPAIRED TO THEIR ORIGINAL STRENGTH BY REPAIR. BUT CAN BE REPAIRED TO BE OPERATIONALISED WITH AT LEAST 60 % STRENGTH.

WE HAVE DONE SEVERAL REPAIRS OF PU SCREEN DECKS AND SAME HAVE PERFORMED TO GIVE AT LEAST 60 % MORE LIFE. THIS IS A VERY ECONOMICAL TECHNIQUE AS SOMETIMES ONLY A VERY SMALL PART OF THE PANEL IS WORNED(WITH ONLY 5 - 10 % WEAR) AND REST OF PANEL IS ALMOST INTACT IN THIS CASES THE REPAIR CAN BE DONE. BONDING BETWEEN THE CAST PU IS WEAK. FOR THIS SPECIAL BONDING TECHNIQUES WHICH WILL COMPRISE OF CHEMICAL AND PHYSICAL BONDING GIVES GOOD RESULTS. THIS AGAIN DEPENDS ON THE NATURE OF PANEL AND ITS REINFORCEMENTS. HOLE SIZE ETC.

You need a pistol (of heating) and a plastic wire in the same condition of your PU.

The pistol has a mouth for the hot air and a small mouth where you can feed the plastic wire in the center of the hot air and the place where you repair the lost PU.

It is a system nearly welding.
