dear sir,

you need to give us a better understanding of what you wish to do. what is the variety of wheat you are handling?

We really do not know what you want to do.

It sounds like you want to convey it from your storage and drop it in your trucks grain body. If so you could use a commercial vacuum system and deliver it to a separator tank/ cylone tank to slow it down and then let it drop by gravity to you grain body.

The wheat variety is the key to your problem as you will want to reduce middlings/fines and broken kernals to a minimum. I am not sure if a vacuum system will really help as you must maintain quality to your buyer if that is the case.

Perhaps the best way is to use an large piece of heavy burlap wrapped around the augers delivery chute that would act as a buffer to slow down the speed of the falling wheat into your trucks grain body. If you made it long enough to reach to below the top of your grain body it would reduce the amount of fines/middlings and in the process the cone of grain will act as a shock absorber to the incoming grain and reduce the speed of impact.

Dear Sir

I looked at your request and can only assume you wish to load a bulk transporter / truck is this correct?

Our specialization is in bulk material handling including bulk loading and out loading devices.

If you are strictly interested in bulk loading the may be you should consider an alternate device. This may load faster and also without damage.

Please let me know if you think I have interpreted your needs correctly, we would be pleased to try and assist.

Many thanks

Dear Ieren,

Your application is not difficult and this process has been used for many years.

Yes, you can move wheat via vacuum, and deliver the product to the waiting truck by pressure. The key elements to keep in mind is use a pneumatic conveyor that has been manufactured by a capable and experienced manufacturer.

Also make sure the conveying line does not have damaged spots (dents, welded repairs) because this area of the conveying line can damage the product.

Be sure to use a properly designed discharge cyclone for discharging the product into the truck at the end of the pressure conveying line.

Should you have more specific details regarding conveying line length, and capacity required, please feel free to contact me at jack@neuero.com

Please use a low velocity dense phase pneumatic conveying system to prevent attrition, wear, or breakage of the wheat particles. This technology is well known.

Dear Ieren

In order not to damage wheat or any grains while penumatitic discharge put the follwing in mind:-

- vacuvators must be put on the right location on the vessel deck so that it sucks the grains to the vacuvator cyclone with less angle possible (not right angle but must be very wide angle)

-pipes must be smooth, no welding inside.

-use flexible pipes in any angle and try to make it wide angle as possible and dont use too many flexible pipes in the blowing line (i.e. try to make it staright as possible)

-airlock must be in excellent condition.

-turbins must be in excellent condition.

Use True Low Velocity

The only way to transport this product is via Dune Phase - a recently developed technology that moves granulates at approximately 2-3 m/sec. This has been developed by a UK company and a test plant to demonstate the technology is available.

This system looks like a lean phase system (and doesn't cost much more) but it does not require end filtration as no breakdown or dust is generated. Rates up to 40t/h are possible. The discharge velocity is so slow that you can catch the product in your hands!

Send me a private message for further details etc.

The following (rather poor) pics show the dune in a pipe :
