Chute Blocking
You are not talking about pneumatic conveying, are you?

Re: Chute Block Limit Switch
Assuming you are talking about a conveyor belt of some description and not a pneumatic conveyor (which you may be), there are various options available, including: extend the stopping period of the receiving conveyor, reduce the stopping period of the upstream conveyor (due to safety concerns this may be preferable), et al.
This may be somewhat achievable through a review of your plant control logic.
Suggest you consider engaging a suitable consultant to have a look at your issue and report on a way forward.

Re: Chute Block Limit Switch
You need to fit a Pease Probe (I think I've spelled it right) which used to be obligatory. ■

Re: Chute Block Limit Switch
Here is what we use and works great. It is interlocked with the conveyor starters.

I am surprised that the AB link still works after this length of time - but it does. ■

Re: Chute Block Limit Switch
You do need to be careful with "tilt" type switches. We once came unstuck with one installation where before the switch was tilted far enough to operate the material had flowed around the back of the switch and restrained it so it never operated! ■
Chute block limit switch
Sirs,
I am facing a problem of flooding of conveyor galleries and structure with coal while material build up is observed inside a chute.
Is their any mechanism available to stop the upstream conveyors to avoid such occurence?
