Manufacturers of Helicoid Flight-Forming Machines

Posted in: , on 13. Mar. 2008 - 17:05

Greetings from Brazil!

I work for a company here in Brazil that manufactures screw conveyors and feeders among other bulk material handling equipment. We produce helicoid flighting in-house via the cold-rolling process for our screw conveyors,. We use flight-forming machines that we have designed and built. We need to replace one of our machines and are looking to buy a new or used machine.

So we are searching for manufacturers of flight-forming equipment. We know of Lenham Machinery Ltd. (Engalnd), but little else. An internet serach brings up countless companies that fabricate and sell helicoid flighting and/or screw conveyors (which perhaps is helpful in pursuing a used machine), but I'm not finding manufacturers of the flight-forming machinery itself.

Can anyone help or point me in the right direction?

Thanks for you reply, Mr. Patel.

We have also developed our own mechanical flight-forming equipment with primitive manual controls. We want to modernize.

The flightings that we produce which cause us the most difficulty are as follows:

Outside . . .Inside. . . . . . . Outer. . . Flight

Diameter. . Diameter . Pitch . . Edge . . . Length

. (mm). . . . (mm). . . (mm) . . (mm) . . . (mm)

. 280 . . . . .76 . . . 220. . . 4.75 . . . 3000

. 350 . . . . .76 . . . 350. . . 4.00 . . . 3000

. 300 . . . . .60 . . . 300. . . 4.00 . . . 3000

. 762 . . . . 406 . . . 685. . . 4.75 . . . 4200

. 660 . . . . 406 . . . 660. . . 6.00 . . . 4000

Any equipment we purchase would need to be able to produce the above flightings and do so at a reduced cost.

If you believe you could fabrciate a machine that meets the above requirements, please send me an e-mail or private message.

Sincerely,

Chris
