A bucket elevator is a simple task but I am wondering if a simpler cutter suction head would be more appropriate. It would be more efficient and require less power and maintenance to operate. It is just a thought.

The bucket elevator is the easy bit.
Adapting one to a filter bed of unknown dimensions and without a sketch indicating what you are thinking the system will look like is something else.
