Vibrafloor in Sulphur

Posted in: , on 22. Jan. 2007 - 17:27

The vibrating floor, long proven in cereals, flour, sugar, wood waste etc... has been successfully applied to sulphur.

The project purported to mobilize 8.000t of dead piles out of a 9.000t capacity silo in southern Portugal. The bottom of the 26m diameter silo is in the form of a cone, on which 54 rectangular vibrating modules were fitted. Stainless steel frames had to be interposed between the modules and the conical surface.

Modules abide by ATEX and stainless steel standards. Operation of the modules is entirely controlled by PLC
