Dinnissen and K-Tron introduce

Pandora End of Line Mixing

during Anuga Foodtec in Cologne, Gemany

Small flexible all-rounder for the feed and food industry

Dinnissen Process Technology (The Netherlands) and K-Tron Process Group (Switzerland) will be introducing a new mixing concept for the high-quality food processing industry together at Anuga Foodtec in Köln. The Pandora End of Line Mixing concept is specially intended for situations where high demands are placed on the rapid, careful and extremely homogenous mixing of a maximum of 10 (micro) components. The concept is especially suitable for conditions where the quick and easy switchover to new recipes and the prevention of contamination and segregation are important factors. An additional benefit is its low energy usage.

Rapid, careful and extremely homogeneous mixing

Pandora End of Line Mixing works according to the principle of continuous mixing, whereby raw materials are continuously added and removed from a compact mixer. The concept therefore comprises a number of K-Tron Process Group's accurate gravimetric feeders and Dinnissen Process Technology's esteemed Pegasus® mixer. The special feeders accurately measure the supply of ingredients to the Pegasus® mixer. This can also apply to micro-ingredients (0.01-2% per batch weight) and even extremely high percentages (30-220% per batch weight). The quick reaction time of these gravimetric feeders limits production loss during the start up and slow down periods.

Ultra hygienic and effortless switchover to new recipes

Thanks to its clever construction, the Pegasus® mixer mixes raw materials at high speed until a homogenous mixture is obtained. The mixer carefully mixes easily broken vegetables within 6-8 seconds and sticky and difficult to mix powders and liquids within 30-50 seconds. The compact size of the Pegasus® mixer ensures a range of important benefits for the total mixing concept. It is quick and easy to clean, enabling rapid switchover to a new production recipe. As the Pandora End of Line Mixing concept is suitable for quantities between 50 kg and 100 tonnes per hour, this can even be done if there is a substantial difference in production capacity.

Easily integrated into new and existing production processes

The small size of the Pegasus® makes it easy to integrate into any part of a new of existing production process. This new mixing concept can, for example, be integrated just before the packaging process to minimize the chance of segregation. Finally, the Pandora End of Line Mixing concept is especially suitable for squirting oil and liquids onto powder, grains and granules.

Stand-alone module or complete process

The Pandora End of Line Mixing concept can be supplied as a stand-alone module within new or existing production processes, or as a complete production process by Dinnissen Process Technology or K-Tron Process Group. Pandora End of Line Mixing can be found at the Dinnissen Process Technology stand F-064 (hall 10.1) during Anuga Foodtec in Köln.
