Dear Dr. Wohlbier

We were indeed pleased with your Journal and all that are going on in your web site. Recently, a director from an instrument company in California, USA, read our second article published in your web site and Journal. The company director was highly interested and contacted me with a list of NIR moisture meters suitable for our research work and the potash industry as indicated in the company's instrument brochures.

Measurement of moisture content deep into stored potash piles has been a difficult problem in the potash industry. Knowledge of moisture contents at depths in stored potash piles in a warehouse, railcar or ship hull is crucial and can be used as a product quality indicator and management tool in monitoring and controlling potash storage, inventory, shipment and handling. As soon as we test these moisture meters and they are found sufficiently accurate and adaptable for obtaining moisture contents in stored bulk potash, we will make appropriate recommendations to the North American potash industry.

You can therefore see how your work and publications are offering great opportunities for needed interaction between researchers/scientists/engineers and the relevant industries. This is just one of the many contacts and inquiries we receive as a result of your web site information bank and publications.

Most of our experimental test results and analysis have now been published in your Journal, and we will continue sending to the Journal our relevant articles for publication as we advance in our potash quality research project with the industry collaboration.

Yes, I am interested in the proposed specialized forum, and I will also discuss that with my colleagues. Please send us the details when they available as you stated.

Kindest regards and best wishes.
