Hopper Fluidization

Dear sir

My writing to this mail is in move to get your concern as how to calculate the fluidizing air required for fluidization in ESP hoppers and silo

Apparently I been asked to calculate the fluidizing air required for ESP hoppers and silo , indeed the said objective has to do something with ash collection in hopper and silo , and its property . But I am not able to take a concrete engineering decision Apprx, as how much is the air required to perform the objective.

I will glad if you support me having some calculation spreadsheet , or enlightening some thumb rule with some calculation stuff

Thanks in antciicpation

Rahul

You will need fluidising pads fitted into your hoppers. Take the easy way, ask the pad suppliers to recommend the necessary size and number of pads for your hopper(s) and the total air consumption.

How are you conveying the ash from the hopper?

Is fluidising the hopper contents a good idea?

in one of our design we supply 54 cu /min of air to a 18 sq m cloth....
