What do you mean by " Long Distance Conveyor "? How long is long? Trough or pipe?

What specification do you want? General guidelines, component details, operating & maintenance performance indices, performance warranty, ......

Can't you be more specific in what you want and why you want it?

K$64 Question Looking For A One Dime Answer.

If you want smooth operation specify grease guns and oil cans.

Conveyors have been around for a long time and there are very well known important features.

Special features are your own affair as the competent authority.

That's my dime's worth!

Dear Sir,

1. The length of conveyor is 4/5KM.

2. I want design consideration only.

3. I forward herewith something what I prepared. Please comments on the same. Kindly note that this basic is based on your book which you gave me during your visit to our office.

4. It should be trough belt conveyor with no horizontal curve.

Regards.

I will help you. Please allow 2-3 days from now. I am on a trip in Canada and will return next Thursday to USA.

My response also requires you provide lift, tonnage, maximum lumps size, etc.

I will also correct your comments listed in the attached. Its has been many years - maybe 5 or so.

Thanks for you continued interest.

Gentlemen,

Is there some prior knowledge hereabouts? Maybe: but 'yes' is a much better guess.

What book are YOU(s) referring to?

If you choose to deal direct kindly do it outside the forums.

Other forum members are unaware of your previous specific dealings; might interpret this as a done deal; might interpret this as grasping at straws or might even wonder at the value of a free book which is difficult to understand for at least one of the participants.

That's another dimes worth.

Dear John:

No effort is being made to bypass the forum or act in a nefarious way. I visited his India office many years ago and left about 30-40 papers published from CDI over the years with OLC designs, pulleys, belts & splices, idlers, structures, controls..... He tried to extract from the publications OLC specifications ( his book build from printing the 30-40 maybe others as well). Mr. Banerjee has not got it entirely right. I will uses his attached doc to answer with any necessary corrections, unless you object to this approach. It will be a little wordy.

I will try for all to see what we use as Design Criteria for overlands when we sit on the client's side of the table. It may get a little boring for more informed. It will likely not be complete but helpful. Much has been said before by many.

There is no done in the deal. I do not even know the deal.
