Re: Detection Of Dust From Paper Bags
I just found this one here...

This thing, 1/10 the size, would suit, I think. ■
Dust Detection
Try Googling "triboelectric dust monitors". Cheap and effective.

Hi,
I also found this one yesterday, but can't really imagine how this works...

Dust Detection
This is the thing you need. The Principle of Operation is that it works by responding to collisions of dust particles. It can measure very low concentrations. The alarm level can be adjusted from zero to a level you determine (by observation or measurement). Talk to the supplier about what you want to do and he will advise you how to set it up. You may need to install a small, rudimentary duct system and fan.
Good luck,

Re: Detection Of Dust From Paper Bags
Duct and Fan is what I don't really want there. I think this has to be cleaned after dust contamination, and it also raises the reaction time of the whole system.
May it be possible to mount the shown sensor horizontal, parallel to the way of the bag valve on the conveyor belt?
Are there any leading manufacturers?

I can't really offer more without seeing the set-up. Maybe an enclosure with the probe inside? You would have to make adjustments and settings, based on operating experience, to suit the operation. Talk to the system manufacturers.

Paperbags
I don’t know if there are sensors for this. Maybe more research is needed. ■
Detection of Dust from Paper Bags
Hi there,
I'm looking for a solution for following application:
25kg paper bags, ultrasonic sealed, are feed to a palletizer.
To minimize customers complaints about not/partially sealed bags, dust exiting the bag valve should be detected when the bag is pressed by a belt from the upper side.
Are there any sensors for this application, that will detect dust (like flour)? Could you use a conventional light barrier? Any ultrasonic/microwave sensors?
Best regards
